BoxPlayer

Add a cloud drive and play a file

Cloud-drive authorization lets BoxPlayer access your files. It is separate from signing in to your BoxPlayer account. Start with one drive and one small video folder.

1.Authorize the cloud drive

Open Add File Source and select the provider. Use its supported QR or account sign-in flow. Return to BoxPlayer and confirm that the intended account and drive appear. Reauthorize only that source if its session expires.

2.Check folders in the saved source

Open the saved source and navigate into a movie or TV folder. Check the account, drive, and folder before scanning. On Apple clients, Saved Shares uses file-list browsing, while the Files or Home favorite can use poster browsing.

3.Favorite the folder and review matches

Use the folder favorite action or star and give it a clear name. Allow indexing to finish, then check a few titles, years, and posters. Keep movie and TV folders focused; there is no need to scan the entire drive first.

4.Select a title and play

Open a matched title in its details, or open the file directly before matching. Choose among existing versions and tracks. If loading fails, first check source authorization and whether the same file opens in the provider’s own client.

Before you finish

  • The intended drive is authorized
  • The target folder lists files
  • One title plays and its poster match is correct
